Darktable is a RAW image workflow software.
It manages your digital negatives in a database, lets you view them through a zoomable light-table and enables you to develop raw images and enhance them.
Darktable recently released version 2.0.7. Here are the new features for this release:
- Filter-out some EXIF tags when exporting. Helps keep metadata size below max limit of ~64Kb
- Support the new Canon EOS 80D {m,s}RAW format
- Always show rendering intent selector in lighttable view
- Clear elevation when clearing geo data in map view
- Temperature module, invert module: add SSE vectorization for X-Trans
- Temperature module: add keyboard shortcuts for presets

How to install
The latest version 2.0.7 not yet available in below PPA for Ubuntu and its derivatives. However you can go ahead and install the older version and you would be prompted when new version is available in PPA.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install darktable
After installation, you can launch it from Application menu.
